This access panel is made of aluminum profiles with a GKBI plasterboard insert that’s 12.5 mm or 25 mm thick, and it has two snap locks.
The two frames of the access panel are each made of four parts joined by a special welding process. The panel has a safety latch. To prevent accidents, you must re-attach this latch every time you close the door.
There is a 1.75 mm air gap between the frame and the door, which has a seal all around it. The hidden snap locks open the panel when you press on them.
Dimensions:
The size of the access panel is based on the size of your tiles. This means you need to know the tile size and the joint width to get the correct dimensions for A and B.
Dimensions D and E are always the same. Dimension C is the thickness of the plasterboard.

All standard sizes are available for plasterboard thicknesses of 12.5 mm and 25 mm.

- Use a right angle to mark the installation cutout on the plasterboard wall. The cutout size should be the order size plus 5 mm.
- Now cut out the installation cutout using a jigsaw or handsaw. Please ensure that the edges are straight and free of residue.
- Take the door leaf out of the outer frame and guide the outer frame through the opening into the wall cavity. Please note the opening direction: the snap locks must be located at the top.
- Push the frame from behind against the wall plate. Now screw the outer installation frame to the plasterboard wall with drill head screws, spaced no more than 17 cm apart. Drill with a 6 mm diameter drill bit through the pre-drilled holes in the frame about 1 cm deep into the plasterboard wall, so that the aluminum pin can be received.
- Apply tile adhesive to the wall and the door leaf of the access panel and fix the tiles to it. Please clean the two aluminum frames of the access panel thoroughly afterward. This is particularly important so that the function of the access panel is not impaired.
- Insert the door leaf with the aluminum pins on the underside into the prepared holes of the outer frame. For safety reasons, hook in the safety catch and close the access panel. Please also note this after each time you open the panel.
Warning!
- Each door leaf fits exactly into its respective installation frame. An exchange of the door leaves is not possible.
Important: The panel can only be opened from top to bottom. A side opening is not possible
Hatches with a lock are made to order:
1. Four square lock with wrench and rosette
2. Round-cylinder lock with wrench
3. Profile cylinder for on-site profile-cylinder-inlay
