The hatch is installed in the floor base before laying the floor covering. It has a design working load of up to 2500 kg. This model differs from analogues by using a self-tightening lock, and smooth running of the lid when opening, which occurs without the use of special handles.

Overhead frame is welded from steel angle profile, painted with polymer powder dye. For installation of the hatch, no special box is required, it is enough to make an opening in the floor. The hidden hinge of the hatch is designed in such a way that it allows you to completely cover the hatch with cladding material.

The hatch cover is made of a steel profile with a sheet of homogeneous material with high density fixed on it, which makes it possible to use the hatch in damp rooms. When opened, the cover is lifted by gas shock absorbers.

The wedge type lock prevents backlash of the closed lid. The lock does not require special keys and plugs for the lock.

Floor hatches “Portal” with a lifting lid with gas shock absorbers are manufactured in a range of sizes from 600×600 mm to 1100×900 mm.

It is possible to manufacture according to individual size. Production and delivery time is up to 2 months. For more information, please visit: info@luugid.ee or call +372 5801 2000

  • fix the manhole in the pit so that the surface of the cover is flush with the surface of the underlying layer;
  • Fill the gap between the hatch frame and the edges of the opening with mortar or assembly foam;
  • the maximum thickness of the cladding, including the adhesive layer, must not exceed 18 mm;
  • the permissible overhang of the finishing cover on the hinge side is 5-10 mm from the edge of the cover, on the other sides – it must cover the gap between the cover and the hatch frame;
  • we recommend cutting the edge of the cladding hanging from the hinge side at an angle of ~ 60°;
  • Place the floor covering to be installed on the contour of the manhole cover – the gap between the material glued to the floor and the cover itself should be 2-4 mm;
  • Before lining the cover, mark and drill a 12-13 mm diameter hole for the push button on the cover piece that will be attached to it;
  • If tiles are used as a finishing material, it is recommended to use “liquid nails” to glue them on;
  • After the coating has set and the adhesive has fully cured, adjust the length of the tappet to ensure reliable operation of the lock and secure it with the lock nut;
  • If thick floor coverings are used, the length of the pusher can be increased by means of a coupling;
  • insert the tappet into the hole and secure with the locking screw – it is recommended to additionally secure the lock body with sealant.
